Who we are
Hello!
Welcome to HomeSecure Services Ltd. This is a new home watch company; however, we are not new to the area nor are we new to offering services to take good care of people!
‘We’ are myself, Lorraine Alderson, my partner, Steven Macdonald, and our eldest Kyle Alderson, together we look forward to providing you with due care and attention to keep your home monitored in your absence.
Steve, Kyle and I have many years in business, with those businesses always involving providing quality services to look after people, keeping themselves and their priorities safe. Steve and I have many years in financial services, as advisers and consultants, which included insurance companies & policies, contracting within the Insurance Ombudsman, so the intricacies of insurance policies are known to us. We have many more years (and still are) involved with offering holistic health & fitness services & training. Kyle, who has a great love of the outdoors, has years in teaching youth in outdoor education, a background in forestry, with five years voluntary Air Search and Rescue. He is also a business owner/operator, and in recent years became a certified Home Inspector.
Between us we have attention to detail, a great deal of common sense and great pride in offering the best services for our clients. With Kyle’s training & knowledge with Home Inspection, all our years dealing with insurance, plus being homeowners (with some years where we worked in the UK but had a home in Canada) we know we are well placed to be looking out for anything that could present a problem when your property is left vacant.
We have already undertaken over 80 inspections in late 2024, when we covered for a local home watch company, now retired.
The East Kootenays, in particular Kimberley and Cranbrook are home for us all now, we are here 24/7, therefore we feel we can offer the right cover for your property.

Lorraine, Steve and Kyle reside in Kimberley/Cranbrook, own other service-based businesses, plus have two further children and grandchildren in Kimberley/Cranbrook. The mountains are home and they all enjoy everything that living in such a beautiful area has to offer.

Insurance Compliance
Most home insurance policies require that someone checks on the home every 72 hours, providing proof they checked on the home. If damage should occur and the home has been left vacant, your claim may be denied. It is important, then, to check your policy before leaving to understand the limits of your coverage. Let HomeSecure Services provide you with the assurance that your insurance policy compliance is being met. We will also supply your insurance company with reports as they are required.
